Happy New Year!

Hey, guys! Happy new year! I haven't been able to write on my blog because I have been too "in the zone" with Violet's Flame. Seriously, I went from page eight to page twelve in less than an hour. It is so good right now that I am surprised that I am writing this instead of Violet's Flame. Oh well. I am also working on my next series. I don't know what I am going to call it yet, but it is about demons and angels and the war between them. I started it about a year ago and forgot all about it until I decided to be bored and look around on my computer. I still remember the plot-line for it, so I will not only be writing in Violet's Flame, but also in the other story. I'll keep you guys updated on both books. So, for now, I will go write some more in Violet's Flame, so I will see ya'll later!

I'm Back!!!

Hey, guys! I'm back from New Orleans! I had so much fun on my trip, but now I am so tired that I am about to literally fall asleep on the keyboard. I will soon post pictures that I had taken, but not now since I am so tired. Well, I guess I can safely say that Violet's Flame is back on my list of to-dos. I am so pumped to get started on it tomorrow! I am so excited that I am hoping I will finish it by the end of Christmas break, so just keep your fingers crossed and hope that I finish it soon. Heck, I am in such a generous mood that I think I will put up part of the first chapter at a later time. I haven't ordered books for a book signing yet, but I will do that soon. (that is, if I can get the money). Also, I am thinking about shopping my book to different publishing companies. Self publishing has been okay, but it is just too expensive to keep doing at this point. I still haven't got my paycheck yet, either. I am thinking about a good, popular publishing company like Harper Teen or Simon Pulse, something that will get teen readers interested in reading it. It's just a thought, but I hope that it works. See ya'll later, and I will tell you guys all about my trip tomorrow!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone! I have just finished packing for my trip to New Orleans tomorrow, and I won't be back until Thursday. Wish me luck! Now I will go play Legend of Zelda, Skyward Sword. See ya'll later! I'll tell you guys everything when I get back!

The Christmas Week is Here!!!

I just finished watching Fate Stay Night. That was an epic ending, yet I feel so hollow. I wish I had the strength like Saber and Shirou. *sigh*
Anyways, there is only three days until Christmas, so yay! I so cannot wait to see what I got from my little sister! I still haven't gotten my mom's gift, but I know what I am getting her, so there is no need to panic yet. Today was a fabulous last day of school, since the midterms were easy and we got out at twelve. In only a few days, I will be packing up and heading to New Orleans! This holiday break will be amazing!!! I don't really know what else to write about, so I'll let you guys go. Now I am off to go lie down and listen to Where is my Mind by Yoav while wallowing in my sorrow. See ya'll later!

Your questions... Answered!

Hey, guys! I got off at 10:00 again today, so I am pretty bored right now. So bored, in fact, that I decided to record myself singing Tell Me what the Rain Knows by Mayaa Sakamoto. My voice sounds British when I sing, for some reason. Anyways, only four days until Christmas! Yay! My sister put my present under the tree, and I am so tempted to open it right now while she's not here. I wanna know what it is! It's heavy and rectangular, so I think it might be a hardcover book. Oh well. I'll just wait four more days and see what's inside on Christmas.
Violet's Flame is going to be a really good book. Everyone that has read Violet has fallen in love with my writing, so now I am more pumped than ever to get started on Violet's Flame. A lot of people have also asked me what got me started on Violet. I have decided that I will answer those questions on my blog right now. Here are the answers to some of the questions:

Q: Where did the idea for Violet come from?
A: It is actually a mixture of Maximum Ride by James Patterson, Firelight by Sophie Jordan, and Thirst (the Last Vampire) by Christopher Pike, only in my own words. I had the idea while watching Ultraviolet, so in honor of that, I named the main character Violet.

Q: How long did it take to write Violet?
A: If you don't count the vacation days, I would say it took about two months to write. And I didn't write all day; just when I felt like it.

Q: Do I write any other stories?
A: I do, but I almost never finish them because of a lack of motivation. The only reason I finished Violet was because my mom read it while I worked on it and told me that she wanted more of it.

That's all the questions I can think of to answer for now, but if you have a question about anything you want answered, leave it in the comment box and I'll get you the answer. I seem to have written a lot again, so I'll let you guys off the hook. See ya'll later!

Another Book Signing Update. Yay!

Hey, guys, I got off of school at 10:00 today, so I got to spend a lot of time at home today. There wasn't much to do, but I really appreciate the time off of school. Speaking of spare time, I finally decided to get started on my "tour of the libraries" in the nearby parishes. So far, I have all the libraries in Vermilion, Allen, Lafayette, Acadia, Jefferson Davis, Evangeline, and St. Landry. In all, there are 43 libraries that I will be visiting in the near future for book signings. So, yay! I am finally able to start my marketing process, for reals this time! And this is SO not including the pizza and coffee shops that I plan to visit. Here's the problem, though: I am only going to have 35 books to sell, so how am I going to make that last for 43 libraries? I'll have less books than libraries to visit! Either way, I am still so excited about it! Now I shall go watch Fate Stay Night and try to get Tell Me What the Rain Knows out of my head. And attempt to calm my terrified dog who happens to be afraid of storms and is shaking so hard that his teeth are chattering. Don't think I'm joking. *Sigh* Well, see ya'll later!

Midterms... With a Little "Violet's Flame"

I really thought that midterms would be much harder than this. But honestly, they were so easy that I finished without checking them. The best part: I got off of school early today. So not only do I have easy midterms, I also have short days. I am so starting to like High School.
Anyway, the papers have been signed and the money sent in. I'm going to New Orleans. I so cannot wait! I am so excited that I will be able to write in the sequel again! I have also decided that I will call the sequel Violet's Flame for now. It might change in the future, but I am going to call it Violet's Flame for the time being. I'll be making lots of updates in the future after New Orleans, so keep reading and you won't get left behind. See ya'll later!

An Unusual Proposal Day

Hey, guys! Nothing much happened today. I had watched Fate Stay Night until I realized that I was almost to the end of the series. I'm trying to keep the series lasting for a little while so that I have something to look forward to. That show is so ADDICTING!!!!
Anyway, after I stopped watching Fate Stay Night, I went shower and studied. Then I had lunch and decided to see what was on FX. And then that was when my boring day turned it's frown upside down. The Proposal was playing, and I never get to see that movie and it is one of my most favorite romantic comedies in the world. And the best part of my day: I got my paycheck. And it's $100 this time instead of $50. Yay! I got money! Now I have to pay my mom back for both the package I purchased for publishing Violet and the Christmas gifts I got for my friends. Not so great, but, hey, the Proposal came on, so my day is complete! See ya'll later!

Best. School. Day. Ever.

Hey, guys! It's FRIDAY!!!! Whoop whoop! My day was absolutely wonderful. Today, we only had 40 minute classes, so we basically just played and talked the entire day. The best part of my day was when I gave my friends their Christmas gifts. One of my friends almost cried when I got her the gift she wanted. When I get reactions like that, then the reaction is the only thing I want in return for the gift. I still have to give a few people their gifts, though. In algebra, my teacher let the boys have their fun as the classroom turned into a battlefield of flying paper. In science, we played a review game. My team came in third place. All the rest of my classes, however, were a blast, just like all the others. I had so much fun today! And it was a SCHOOL day, so that is pretty rare coming out of my mouth!
I still don't know how many copies of Violet I've sold yet. I'm beginning to wonder how many I've sold, and when my first paycheck will come in. I have also decided to do a contest, of sorts. I have finally picked the titles I want to give the sequel, and I will leave it up to you loyal readers to decide which would be best. Okay, here it goes: Violet's Flame; Moons of Flame;  and Dragon Fire. Leave your suggestion in the comment box or email me at www.violetdragonkintrilogy@aol.com. I will be waiting for ya'll! Enjoy your weekend, like I know I will enjoy mine!

Book Signing Update

Hey, guys! I found out that I was exaggerating on the money business a little too much. Instead of being around $500, it is actually around $300. Yeah, so I was off by a little more than $200. That means that I can sell them for $15, maybe even less! Here's the only problem: they don't ship for another 6-10 days if I would order them now. So in other words, I can't do the book signing December 20. I know. Horrible. But that's okay, because I can still go to many other places for book signings, just not for another few weeks. Oh well. I guess I should go study for midterms so that I don't fail. (yeah, right. since when do I study?) See you guys later!

My First Book Signing!!!

Hey, ya'll! I just emailed Authorhouse to see how much a bulk order would cost. I am going to order 25 copies of Violet, plus I get 10 additional copies for FREE!!! I'm so excited! It's probably going to cost somewhere around $500, but I think I can manage. I also found out where mom set me up for book signing: it's going to be at Pie Works on Dec. 20 from 6pm to 8pm. So if you want a copy of Violet with my messy signature in it, go to Pie Works at the Time Plaza in Lafayette. I will try to sell the copies for $15, but I'm not sure if I will even make a profit off of that... Oh well. Can't wait to see ya'll there!

Buffy and Homework Just Don't Mix

Hey guys! It's not Monday anymore, so YAY!!!! I just finished watching two episodes of Buffy. The first one made me seriously lol like crazy (it's the one when Buffy goes out with Owen), and the other one made me hate Xander so much!(it's the one when he gets possessed by a hyena's spirit) Spike is originally my favorite character, but when I started watching the series from the first episode, Xander took the lead. So even though he was a total jerk to Willow, he is still my fave.
Okay, I know you don't want to hear me talk about Buffy, so I'll just get right to the point. I think my mom just signed me up for a book signing somewhere. I so can't wait to get there! Now the marketing process begins... Bwahahaha! It's gonna be a lot of work, but I know I'll have so much fun doing this! So BE jealous!
I didn't write too much this time, but I know that you guys are just DYING to start your MIDTERM HOMEWORK, so you guys can go now. Bye, and have a BLAST with your homework!

Violet's sequel story plot

Hey, guys. Notice that I didn't put an exclamation point at the end of "guys". Reason why: it's Monday. You probably know that Mondays are the worst day of the week, especially in my case. This morning, I didn't want to get up, and when I did, I started feeling nauseous. It went away, eventually, so I had no choice but to go to school. School wasn't too bad, but I really wish I could have stayed in bed and watched Fate Stay Night. (I am totally addicted to that show right now; it's loading on the Internet as I type.) If anyone is wondering, I'm at the part where Saber sneaks out of the house and tries to defeat that Servant guy Assassin. Well, there wasn't anything very exciting today, except for the fact that it was one of my friend's birthdays. Happy Birthday to her, even though it's Monday!
Okay, I have been thinking that I might as well type the "what the sequel to Violet is about" on here, because I think that I won't be changing the way I am planning things. Okay, so here it goes: (if you didn't read Violet, don't read this! it will spoil it for you!)
Violet has lost one of her best friends to the dreaded Dragon Kin Hunters, all in the name of stealing her blood. He could be found in New Orleans, possibly the most mysterious place in all of America. As Violet, Aaron, Candy, and Steve journey to find Severin, attacks begin to break out. New Orleans has always had a high criminal rate, but nothing like this.  The numbers of kidnappings, murders, and robberies are at their all time high, and Violet has a funny feeling she knows what is causing it. But no matter what the Dragon Kin Hunters do, she will never give them her blood. As things start to come into focus, Violet discovers one thing: someone she knows and loves will die, and she doesn't know who. Adventure, betrayal, and romance, what could make Violet's day worse?
So there you have it! I am suddenly feeling better about these Monday blues, probably because I finally got to write about Violet! I seem to have gotten carried away again in typing, so I'm letting ya'll off the hook. See  ya'll later!

Curious?

Hey, guys. I'm not going Christmas shopping for another hour, so I was bored and typed a long short story. If ya'll wanna read it, email me and I'll send it to you. If you like it, email me again and I'll write the second chapter and send it to ya. My email is, as always, violetdragonkintrilogy@aol.com. I'll be checking for emails. It is one of my worst attempts at a horror story (because I was trying to make it short), but if you're curious about it, I'll send to you. Don't be afraid to ask me about it, I want to share my stuff!
PS. It would really help if you would mention your name in the email so that I don't accidentally send the same two emails to one person. Thanks!

Pizza, Ghosts, and New Orleans

I just got back from Gatties's Pizzeria. I think I'm going to explode from all of the pizza I ate. Aw, man that was good.
I saw the video of the guy with the haunted house, and now I need no more convincing. It is fake. There was no such thing as DVDs in the early 1900s, so that was what convinced me. But the good news about this is that he finally said he was considering moving, so even if I'm wrong about it being fake, at least the guy will be safe.
I am thinking about what I am going to do when I get to New Orleans. I am defiantly going to go to all kinds of stores and haunted restaurants. If I'm lucky, I'll get my hands read or something. That would be so cool! I really want to start writing in my stories again, although I already said that, like, a thousand times. My fingers are literally itching to write. The real question is: when this series is over, what am I going to write about? I have been having ideas, but they aren't too good. I'm not going to discuss them, since someone might steal my idea.
I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow for all my new acquaintances, so it looks like I will be very busy tomorrow, and might not have time to write, so if you're a loyal reader of my blogs, don't be too upset over if I have a post tomorrow. Now I'm off to read some Maximum Ride manga. (Iggy and Gazzy are my absolute favorites!) See ya'll later!

AHH!!!

Okay, so there are these videos I've been watching about this guy and his haunted house. He uploads a new video just about every week, and I have to wait until eight to see the newest one. Every now and then, I'll start to think they are fake, but I also think they are real from time to time. And the weirdest thing... THEY ARE SO CREEPY!!!!! I just got finished watching last week's episode, and I am so scared that I'm actually shaking! THAT GUY IS SUCH AN IDIOT!!!!! He had said a spell to communicate with the "ghost girl", and she attacked him! I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL 8:00!! I WANNA WATCH THE NEW ONE NOW!!!!

FINALLY FRIDAY!!!

Well, it's finally Friday, so YAY!!! I am so excited it's the WEEKEND!!!! I don't know about any of you reading this, but I have been waiting for this moment ever since the clock struck Monday. *sigh* It feels so good to be able to sleep late again.
The only problem with this weekend is the fact that midterms are coming up, so I have a buttload of homework that I need to get done. It isn't hard, but there is just SO MUCH TO DO!!!
I also got some new books at the library, so I have something to do when I'm not doing homework.
They are so cool, and one of them have those little things you can take out and experiment with.
Mom told me a really good title for the sequel. Instead of Moons of Flame, she said Violet Flame. I like it a lot. It has something to do with fire, and it's also keeping it tune with the first book, Violet. I already know that the sequel is going to include a lot of fire, which is why I want something with fire or flame in the title. Do ya'll like Violet Flame or have another suggestion for the title? Well, I fixed the comment box, so leave your idea in there or email me at violetdragonkintrilogy@aol.com. See ya'll tomorrow!

A right and left turn

Today, my sweet revenge took both a right and left turn. The good thing that happened today was that my little sister had to go to the dentist to get her tooth filled in. He had to stick a needle into her mouth and paralyze her gums, which is the good part. The left turn started when I realized that she left WHILE SCHOOL WAS STILL GOING ON. But then it took a right turn again when she had to go back to school with a numb mouth. It still feels sore when she drinks water, so I am still able to enjoy this. And the artificial tooth can still fall out. VICTORY IS MINE!!!
Anyways, I usually have to drive a friend to her house after play practice, and she did the one thing that really drives me nuts. She stole the front seat from me. I have a thing against sitting in the backseat, so I usually try my hardest to sit in the front. But this time, she beat me to it. I was seriously losing my mind in the backseat, no joke!
Violet is already a huge hit. Most of the people that have read it tell me that it reminds them of the Hunger Games, so I guess it must be good. Who knew that one day I might write a book that would be a hit? I was really going for something like Maximum Ride or something, but the Hunger Games are pretty popular, so I guess I'll take it. I wrote a lot again, so I'll let everyone reading this off the hook for today. See ya'll later!

Payback... the sweet taste of victory

About ten years ago, when I was four, my little sister had made me bang my teeth on a guitar, which ultimately lead to one of my teeth being chipped. Ten years later, karma had finally got her back. When I saw her after school today, she showed me a chip in her tooth that had happened not even an hour earlier. Here is how it happened: She was helping put tables up after the social studies projects, and when she bent down to loosen the table legs, one of her friends had kicked the table closed, and the table had hit her on her tooth. So now she has a chip in the exact same tooth and spot that I do. Ah, the sweet taste of a ten year old revenge. (she wasn't too badly hurt and was laughing about it when she told me, so don't worry too much about her.)
A lot of people tell me that I would be a great teacher when I grow up. But every time, I say that I would never consider it because it is not my path. The reason I say that is because I tutor some kids in my physical science class, which can be fun, but they usually don't listen to me when I try to explain something to them. Most of them that come to me actually do want to learn so they listen, but for some of the others... well, lets just say that they talk so much that whenever I finish a problem, they automatically look at me funny and say: "what? can you explain that again?" over and over until it drives me nuts! If I think that is bad, what will being a teacher be like?
Okay, enough about my day. My fingers have literally been itching because I can't be writing in the sequel. Ever since I heard that we were going to New Orleans, I have been nothing but happy, and my fingers are so ready to be typing the next book for Violet. I have also been thinking about putting a short paragraph on what the sequel will be about on one of my future posts. I would do it now, but knowing me, the plotline is likely to change along the way, so right now might not be a good time. *sigh* Well, I seem to have typed a lot, so I'll let everyone who is bothering to read this go for the day. See ya'll later!

Violet...with a side of Buffy

I feel sad. I just saw the last episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Spike made me wanna cry! And Buffy is so stupid for ever going out with Angel in the first place. (don't be offended if you are an Angel fan... just my opinion.) Anyway, there is some good news in this. Starting tomorrow, the channel that plays Buffy will start playing it again from the very first episode, so there is some good news in this!
I so cannot wait to go to New Orleans! I am really excited about being able to write in my story again, since I have come up with so many cool things I can add to the story! I am starting the sequel right where Violet left off, so if you didn't read Violet, I would suggest you do before you read the sequel.
So far, I have been thinking of some titles for the sequel. So far I've got: To the end of the Earth, Dragon's Fire, Moons of Flame, Infinity, and Battle of the Dragon Hunters. My favorite is either Dragon's Fire or Moons of Flame, but I might come up with something better in the future. Just keep your fingers crossed!
By the way... today I got the posters for Violet! Yay! Now I can finally start my marketing process! (it's about time... it only took 2 months)

Monday, December 5, 2011

Look out, New Orleans, here I come!

Yay! It has been decided that I will be leaving for New Orleans over the Christmas break. The only problem is... my dad decided to come along, and my sister is tagging along, too. *sigh* He wants to make this little adventure a "family friendly" experience for the whole family instead of the research I need it to be. So now, instead of walking down Charleston Street in search of vampires and checking out the Lalaurie Mansion in search of the violent spirits that live there, I am going to the zoo and aquarium to look at some foriegn animals. (not that I'm too disappointed about that... sounds like fun.) I know it sounds like fun, but the research for the sequel to Violet is just more important right now. (I am still thinking of what I am going to call it. I need more time to think about it. If you have read Violet and have any suggestions, don't be afraid to tell me in the comment box or email me at violetdragonkintrilogy@aol.com. I am always open to suggestions and reviews!) See ya'll later!

Pets and Books and Blogs

Okay, so I just added all these cool things to my blog. I can't believe I now have my very own vertual fish! (go to the bottom of the page and click anywhere in the tank. It's so cool!) Once I figure out how to download pictures from my camera, I'll also be able to show you guys my real pets.
By the way... I just read a book called Wings by Aprilynne Pike that I couldn't put down. I haven't been so captivated by a book since I read Eve a few weeks back. It was really good, and just my type of book. In other words, it was short, sweet, and to the point. It was really good, and I would recommend it to anyone who in absoulutally in love with faeries and the Twilight Saga.

Saturday, December 3, 2011

Yay!

Hey, I finally made my very own blog! Now I can talk to yall about how awesome having one is! Well, the only problem is... what am I going to talk about? Well, I have just started working on the sequel to Violet, and I am on about the seventh page. (I can't do much until Christmas holidays since I need to know more about the geography on New Orleans... lame, I know) Anyways, last night I was working backstage for the play that my mom is in and, for some reason, I always get so exausted afterwards, and I usually crash right when my head hits the pillow. (which is unusual, because of my insomnia...)
